mad money: knowledge has to come from somewhere

CNBC's Mad Money, 30 April 2026, the evening of the Q1 call. Paraphrase of Huffman's points:

  • Knowledge has to come from somewhere. The models do not generate it, people do.
  • Reddit as the fuel for AI: the place where that knowledge is written down in public.
  • Reddit is a lightweight company. It is not building data centers, and it does not need to, because its input is people posting.

Why it is here: it separates the two halves of the AI economy. One half is capital-intensive (chips, power, buildings). The other half is the human text those buildings are pointed at. This site is about the second half, and here is the CEO placing the company in it on purpose.

About Reddit the stock (NYSE: RDDT). $HI is a token on the HI/RDDT pair, not Reddit stock.

What it proves: the company positions itself as the input side of AI, not the compute side. Fuel, not engine.

This is about the stock, the token is unrelated, correct?

Correct. A CEO on a stock show, talking about the stock. $HI is a token on the HI/RDDT pair, not Reddit stock, and not part of that conversation.
