huffman, Q1 2026 Q&A: "there is no artificial intelligence without actual intelligence"
From the Q&A portion of Reddit's Q1 2026 earnings call, as captured by mlq.ai. Steve Huffman, asked about the value of Reddit's data to AI:
The line: "There is no artificial intelligence without actual intelligence". That is the motto of this site, and it is his, not ours.
Paraphrase of the surrounding answer: as the internet gets sanitized by AI output, people crave the human conversation that Reddit has, and that conversation is also what the models are built from.
Why it is here: every other source on this site is an outsider describing the asset. This is the person running it describing it the same way, on the record, to investors. That is Reddit Inc. and Reddit the stock (NYSE: RDDT). $HI is a token on the HI/RDDT pair, not Reddit stock, and Huffman has nothing to do with it.

static thread, nothing to reply toWhat it proves: the site's motto is a direct quote from the CEO on an earnings call. The framing is not ours, we just named it.
This is about the stock, the token is unrelated, correct?
Correct. This was said to RDDT shareholders on an earnings call. $HI is a token on the HI/RDDT pair. Huffman has never mentioned it and we do not claim otherwise.
"Sanitized" is the right word. I noticed it when recipe sites stopped having the part where the person burned the first batch.
