Paraphrase of the argument: people want Reddit, not a summary of Reddit. Context and first-hand accounts are the thing, and a flat generated paragraph that compresses them loses exactly what people came for.

Why it is here: it is the clearest statement from the company that the summary and the source are not substitutes. That is point 2 of the pinned thesis, summaries are cheap and first-hand context is not, said by the party with the most to lose if it were false.

    What it proves: "summary is not the source" is now the company's own position, in an investor letter.

    This is about the stock, the token is unrelated, correct? Also "still looking for that win-win" sounds like the clicks problem is not solved.

      Correct, about the stock, and correct that it is unresolved. This site does not claim the clicks problem is solved. It claims the human corpus is the scarce input either way. $HI is a token on the HI/RDDT pair, not Reddit stock.

    The AI Overview for my town's parking rules was confidently wrong. The thread it summarized had the correction three comments down. Antidote is the right word.
