why declining website clicks make Reddit a top pick for 2026, per Needham via TipRanks
TipRanks, 29 December 2025, on Needham naming Reddit (the stock, NYSE: RDDT) a top pick for 2026. The argument, paraphrased:
- AI answers are cutting clicks to websites across the open web. That hurts most publishers.
- Reddit over-indexes in the sources those AI answers cite. The studies the note leans on put Reddit somewhere around 20 to 40% of citations, depending on the study and the query type.
- The library is the reason: on the order of 1 billion posts and 16 billion comments, growing by roughly 1.2 million posts and 7.5 million comments a day.
Needham-cited figures, not live stats. Every number above is as reported in the note and the TipRanks write-up. We have not verified them independently and they will be out of date by the time you read this.
Why it belongs here: the "fewer clicks" story is a story about synthetic answers replacing human pages. The claim that Reddit benefits from it is a claim that the human corpus gets cited when the synthetic layer needs a source. That is the H / (H + S) argument from r/thesis, from an analyst, a year earlier.

static thread, nothing to reply toWhat it proves: an analyst put numbers on the citation share of the human corpus. The numbers are theirs, dated December 2025, not ours and not live.
This is about the stock, the token is unrelated, correct? And the 20 to 40% range is wide.
Correct on both. It is about RDDT the stock, and the range is wide because it comes from different studies with different query sets. We label it Needham-cited so nobody quotes it as ours. $HI is a token on the HI/RDDT pair, not Reddit stock.
